PLAN ForYourArt: November 10-16

Each Week, ForYourArt Brings You the Best Opportunities to SEECOLLECTLEARN ABOUT, and SUPPORT Art in Los Angeles.

On Tap: The First Annual Art & Beer Invitational
Pacific Design Center (West Hollywood)
Silent auction curated by Lauri Firstenberg, Thomas Lawson, Franklin Sirmans, Ali Subotnick, and Dean Valentine including over 30 original artworks donated by young and emerging artists. Sales and event proceeds benefit East of Borneo, a nonprofit collaborative online magazine of contemporary art and its history as seen from Los Angeles. The evening will also feature a special selection of California craft beers presented by Dale Bros. Brewery. This event costs $10 for students and $20 for the general public. Email for a chance to win a pair of tickets!

Sue Williams
Regen Projects (West Hollywood)
An exhibition of paintings, drawings, and collages by New York artist Sue Williams. This exhibition, a retrospective of Williams' work from 1990 to the present day, will illustrate the formal and thematic courses she has historically drawn upon and subverted in her work.

Adam McEwen
Gagosian Gallery (Beverly Hills)
An exhibition of new and recent work by Adam McEwen. McEwen's paintings, sculptures, photographs, and installations present subtle re-workings of the familiar signs and objects that surround us in our daily lives, his understated but complex rhetoric manipulating time, space, language, and images to alternately esoteric and persuasive effect.

Hedi Slimane: California Song
MOCA at the Pacific Design Center (West Hollywood)
The first West Coast solo museum exhibition of photographer Hedi Slimane's work. California Song spans the photographer's "California period" and traces his explorations of cycles of urban youth culture and artistic communities, through installations of photographic essays, exhibitions, and publications.
