Tory Burch's meteoric rise to the fashion stratosphere has been told and re-told countless times. Her ballet flats, the Reva, inspired and named after her mother caught the eye of Oprah, which landed Burch a guest spot on the TV queen's show. And overnight, Tory Burch became an international sensation. Burch remains indebted to Oprah for "changing her business completely."

As she continues to open stores worldwide, Tory Burch is poised to become the next great American fashion empire in the manner of Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan. Taking time from her hectic schedule, she shares her thoughts on reality television, alternative careers and why she is not ruling out Botox.

When I wake up...
I have breakfast with my boys before I take them to school.

Before I go to bed...
I read newspapers until I fall asleep.

A well-dressed man/woman...
Is always confident and knows when to hold back.

Women should always...
Dress for their age.

Men should never...
"Wear white shirts with sport jackets." It's something my father used to say.

The best thing that's been said about me...
Is that I'm a great mother.

The biggest misconception about me...
You tell me.

If I weren't doing what I'm doing today...
I would be working in the music industry or doing social work.

My legacy...
Are my children.

A great idea...
is always unique and usually simple.

Botox is...
OK in my book.

My mother...
Is a great source of inspiration. She taught me to believe in myself and to be open to new ideas.

The soundtrack of my life...
Is always changing. I listen to all kinds of music, from Neil Young to Johnny Cash to Kanye West.

The future...
Is bright if we take action.

Happiness...
Is something you have to create for yourself.

There's a time and place for...
Tequila and lime.

There is too much...
Bad reality TV.

In the end...
Family is what matters.
