The Emmys Need to Get Younger & Sexier

There's no question that incredibly talented, established actors like Michael Douglas, Jeff Daniels and Julia Louis-Dreyfus should be honored. But the Emmys organizers need to find a way to young-up and sex-up the awards show by inviting popular stars like Ian Somerhalder, Lea Michele and more to attend.

The Emmys need a "young" makeover! Yes, it's imperative that the finest television stars, films and actors receive their golden statuettes , but it's time for an invasion of popular talents that will make the Emmys must-see-TV for 18-to-34-year-old Millennials.

Have Younger Stars Present Awards

So organizers, invite the Glee cast to perform a number, do a spoof on vampires and werewolves with members of the casts of True Blood, Vampire Diaries, The Originals and Teen Wolf participating.

How about asking younger and/or popular stars to present in the supporting actor and actress categories? Emily Van Camp, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Patrick Dempsey and Jesse Williams would make great and stylish presenters.

Do everything you can to have the entire casts of uber-popular dramatic series like Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey come and walk the red carpet -- they've attended in the past.

Create New Categories To Draw More Stars

And how about a new category for Ensemble Show that could draw in stars of ratings-dominant new series like Once Upon A Time, Sleepy Hollow and Under The Dome, so we can get them to the Emmys show.

Plus, encourage the celebrity judges of reality competition shows like this year's winner, The Voice to be Emmy attenders.

How exciting and star-studded would the Emmys have been if The Voice's Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green had taken to the red carpet and then to the podium to accept their winners' award.

Multiply that by stars and contestants for Dancing With The Stars, Top Chef and more.

You see where I'm going here?

The range of TV shows and stars is so diverse today, that it wouldn't be hard to make the Emmys younger, sexier and more glamorous.
