Reclipit knows when to hold 'em

The good card shark sees things a step ahead of everyone else at the table. Cheryl Yeoh seems to share that instinct - even if she doesn't wear a velour track suit or oversized shades.

As CEO and co-founder of Reclipit, a community for coupon and daily deal enthusiasts, Yeoh recently led the company through a major pivot (and a cross-country move) after her entrepreneurial precog suggested the time was right.

Reclipit was once known as City Pockets, an online file cabinet and secondary market for daily deal vouchers. But in late 2011, when Yeoh began to see volatility in the daily deal space, she decided to pursue something a little more stable -- the coupon. Reclipit is home for the modern-day coupon clipper, letting users clip deals from their browser and save them all in one space.

Interest has been high -- after Dave McClure learned out about the pivot in June, he invited them to join 500 Startups on the west coast. Within a week, the four-person team had "lifted and shifted" from New York to San Francisco for the three-month program, which ended just two weeks ago.

Smart shoppers can start clipping here.

Now go forth (and go all in).
