The 2012 Adidas Nations was an excellent event with the competition for our All-Tournament teams intense. Here are NetScouts Basketball All-USA and All-International Teams.
(MVP) Noah Vonleh (6'8, New Hampton, NH Prep, 19.3 ppg, 11.0 rpg)
Vohleh led his USA 2014 Red squad to the tournament championship with 25 points and 16 rebounds in the 86-84 overtime win over the USA 2013 Blue team. Vohleh, rated #4 in the 2014 class, can do it all and likely will just spend one year in college before heading to the NBA.
Emmanuel Mudiay (6'4, Grace, TX Prep, 13.7 ppg)
Mudiay helped Vonleh in winning the title for the USA 2014 Red team. Mudiay is a scorer, he can score from distance as well as slashing to the hoop. At this point, he's a combo point who is better off the ball. Mudiay sports offers from Texas, Baylor and Kansas and a host of others.
Chris Walker (6'10, Committed to Florida, 15.3 ppg, 10.0 rpg)
Walker has one of the better games at the event with a 25-point, 13-rebound effort. Walker is athletic, very long but quite lean. He's more of a combo-forward who can step out and face the basket. Walker is rated #8 in the 2013. He's a great get for Florida.
Jarrell Martin (6'9, Madison, LA Prep, 12.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg)
Martin was inconsistent but flashed his skills with two 20-point efforts including a 24-point, 11-rebound game. The athletic combo-forward is great in transition and can hot the medium range shot. Rated #12 in his class he's considering offers from Alabama, Louisville, UCLA, St. John's and others.
Jermaine Lawrence (6'10, Pope John, NY, 13.0 ppg, 7.2 rpg)
Lawrence is very athletic and already is very skilled. He was consistent in all his games, can core in transition as well as with nice turnaround jumpers. Rated #16 in his class he's considering a host of offers.
(MVP) Clint Capela (6'9, Switzerland, played for Africa, 16.5 ppg, 14.3 rpg)
Capela, also known as N'Dunmba-Capela, reminds us of Bismack Biyombo at the same development stage. Capela might be somewhat better offensively, has a strong body and is a very strong rebounder. He's currently playing in France for Chalon's junior team. Capela had a 19-point, 20-rebound effort in one game.
Tony Trocha (6'11, Colombia, played for Latin America, playing high school in Houston, TX, 12.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg)
Trocha, a 2013 recruit, is getting looks from Kentucky, Texas A&M and Texas. He's raw, long and lean with solid rebounding and shot-blocking skills but needs to provide more consistent effort.
Dante Exum (6'7, Australia, 15.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.8 apg)
Exum, from AIS and born in 1995, will be getting lots of high major looks. A tall point guard that can do just about everything he has unlimited potential. Exum averaged over 17 ppg at the U17 World Championships this summer.
Owen Odigie (6'6, Australia, 12.8 ppg, 4.7 rpg)
Odigie, a senior who has been at AIS for three years, showed the ability to get past his defenders off the dribble. He's strong, can score in transition and needs to improve his outside shooting. He shot 69% from the field at the event, mostly on layups and dunks off drives and in transition.
Ozan Anton Odabasi (6'8, Finland, 13.8 ppg, 8.5 rpg)
Odabasi averaged over 15 ppg and 6 rpg in last year's U16 Eiropean Championships. He's grown some since then, is tough and an excellent rebounder. He should get mid-to-high major looks. Born in 1995 he's still two years away of possibly coming to the states.
