"Cutting" 12 " x 9 " 2012, Graphite and watercolor on paper. From the series "Everyday Balaclava" I've been thinking about activism lately. Public acts of defiant, feminist activism are wonderful. But I also think about the interstitial spaces/times between extraordinary acts. Can we be everyday activists? Is there a way of maintaining political ideals, or even of contributing to activist discourse while performing the ordinary activities of everyday life?
