Ah, prosperity... it means to be alive, to feel abundant, to be filled with life force energy. Yes, it also means to have resources, i.e. money. If you are planning to decorate a tree this holiday season, you can use it as a feng shui cure to call in prosperity!
Even just the intention of having your tree be a cure for prosperity can have an impact. Placing the tree in the prosperity area of your home, or the prosperity area of your living room, can jazz up your energy even further, as long as it makes sense for the natural flow of your home.
What is this prosperity area of which I speak? Well, according to the bagua, a magical feng shui diagram, your home can generally be divided into nine equal sections. So can a room. The starting point is the front door of your house or the door of the room. The prosperity corner (aka wealth and abundance gua) is at the back of your house or room, in the left corner. See the bagua diagram, to the left.
How does this cure work? Well, the main element for the prosperity area is fire. Trees are made of wood. Wood fuels fire. Therefore, placing a tree in your prosperity area can help fuel the fire of that section and increase the flow of prosperity in your life! Also, the best colors for the prosperity area are red, green, purple and gold. These are popular Christmas colors, too! Use them in this space to jazz up the energy even further.
Keep in mind that placing a giant Christmas tree in your prosperity area will only work if it makes sense with your home and the natural flow of energy. If it doesn't work, there are other ways. Rather than forcing it, find a way around it! Here are some alternatives:
If you don't have space for a big tree, consider using a miniature one with the same intention! Size does not necessarily matter -- in this case. You can use a miniature tree on the prosperity corner of your desk, even!
If that doesn't seem to fit either, find or create a picture of a Christmas tree with vibrant gold, red, green and purple, and tuck it somewhere in prosperity area of your home or a room in your home. It doesn't have to be visible to have an impact, it just matters that it's there and that you know it's there! In fact, you can leave the Christmas tree picture there all year 'round!
Now, a note about clutter-clearing: whichever variation of this cure you decide to use, make sure the space is uncluttered and well-organized. Chaos and clutter can keep a cure from working properly.
One you decide on the materials and placement, and have them in place, set the cure. You can do this by standing near the tree, envisioning prosperity (either something specific or the best possible outcome), saying the words "prosperity, abundance, wealth" nine times, and waving your hand in a circle, clockwise, as you do so.
