Artistic Robots Take Over Trafalgar Square - Outrace at London Design Festival

The Crane.tv team were out to open the London Design Festival with a sneak peak at an installation from Audi, 'Outrace in Trafalgar Square'.

Now, you may not think art when you hear Audi - I'll admit I was a skeptic at first - but design duo Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram have truly come up with something spectacular. Taking robot arms straight from the assembly lines of Audi, Weisshaar and Kram 'released them from their blue collar existence' - giving them free rein to explore their artistic impulses!

The result? A group of robots that paint messages emailed to them via outrace.org in a dazzling display of robo-choreography and light.

Even our exhausted Editor (Fashion Week isn't all gowns and champagne!) was transfixed, "It's was fantastic to see these machines dancing in what seemed to be choreography," said Rebecca, "And though they each weighed a ton, they seemed petite in the setting of Trafalgar Square, making them even more approachable."

Honestly, words can't describe what our footage captured perfectly - check it out!
