#10. Khal Drogo

The Khaleesi's first conquest, Drogo was our first glimpse of the world beyond the Narrow Sea and a strong argument in favor of travel.

#9. Sandor Clegane

Beneath all of the horrible burns and nihilism, Sandor might be beautiful on the inside. Or he might just be a bitter, opportunistic murderer. "Complicated" is an understatement.

#8. Brienne of Tarth

Brienne is one of the rare characters who both keeps her word and acts upon inconvenient principles...not traits that tend to get you far in Westeros nowadays.

#7. Oberyn Martell

The arrival of the Red Viper of Dorne in King's Landing was cause for fans to rejoice: finally somebody's going to be made to pay for all of the backstabbing brutality around here... Oh well.

#6. Eddard Stark

It's rare that you want to take a character by the shoulders and shake him, shouting "Can't you just be a little less...good?", but Ned Stark brought out the pragmatist in all of us.
