2012-03-21-the_interrupters_filmstill1_410.jpgIn this week's quickie Indie on Demand Movie Review, we take a look at The Interrupters, a documentary, now available on-demand, in which filmmaker Steve James (Hoop Dreams) teamed up with Chicago journalist Alex Kotlowitz (There are No Children Here) to follow for a year the work of CeaseFire, a volunteer organization that employs former gang members to combat the violence that has taken over the Windy City's poorer neighborhoods.
