My white mom's Black history moment

As we come to the end of this Black history month, I have decided to share some of the lessons taught to me by my first teacher on Black history and the struggles of African Americans in the United States. In the following link, my mother tells of her initial entrance into the Black Freedom Movement of the 1960's when she first heard Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and the threats facing a white person who was willing to support the Black Freedom Movement of that time.
