Have you ever asked yourself, "Who Am I?" So many of us have. This is because we are not our names, nor are we our job titles. These are just labels that are used for convenience and ease of reference. Knowing and remembering who you really are can change your life!
"Jesus was a very special human being who was clear about his identity. He knew he was the son of God and one with God. Two of the most powerful statements Jesus said concerning his identity are found in the gospel of John:
'I and the Father are one.' (John 10:30)
'Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.' (John 14:9)
Jesus taught his disciples the popular prayer, 'Our Father.' In so doing, he was telling them that God is not just his father but their father also. If God is the father of Jesus as well as the father of his disciples, then, spiritually, Jesus and his disciples were brothers. Jesus also said that whatever is done for the least of his brothers is done unto him (Matt. 25:31-46). This means that Jesus and the least of his brothers are one. Therefore, not only was Jesus one with God, but he was also one with his brothers. If Jesus was one with God and at the same time one with his brothers, then his brothers were also one with God.
But who are Jesus's brothers? In Matthew 13:55-56 we read, 'Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren't all his sisters with us?' Jesus did not limit his kinship to his biological family. Jesus said, "Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother" (Matt. 12:50). Therefore, whoever does the will of God is one with Jesus (by virtue of the fact that whatever is done to the least of Jesus's brothers is done unto him), and at the same time one with God (by virtue of the fact that Jesus is one with God)....
As a human being, you are a part of God and one with God. To transform your life, go beyond your physical form and change your self-concept....."
