How many times have you been in a situation where you were trying to lead a project and there was conflict all around you? You are under a deadline and it appears that those working with you are oblivious to the mission. They won"t follow your instructions. They don't appear to care that their mission is critical to the company's bottom line. Everyone seems to have a "better idea" of how to get things done after you've already developed the plan of action. Nothing you do seems to move the team ahead.
Well, perhaps it's time to try a new strategy. Perhaps it's time to LISTEN to your team. There are times when the work seems to stand still in the face of progress. When this happens, it may be time to "set aside" time to just stop and LISTEN to what your team members may NOT be saying.
Sometimes, success is just a conversation away. Perhaps it’s just that time! Remember...Good leaders LISTEN!
