This little girl wants good parents, not good buds.
It's too bad, then, that the 9-year-old girl's parents were allegedly growing marijuana under their Minnesota home. The girl entered a police station in Barnesville over the weekend and calmly told officers that her folks were growing weed and selling it, according to the Star Tribune.
The girl reportedly said she wanted a change because the smell of the pot smoke made her feel sick. She was worried about the family dog's health, too, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
"She was a very brave, very smart, very articulate little girl," officer Ryan Beattie told the paper. "It was almost like interviewing an adult. She appeared to have intelligence far above a normal little girl … [and] she gave some pretty specific information about things, like types of drug paraphernalia, that no young person ought to have knowledge about."
A subsequent search of the home revealed seven marijuana plants under the house, drug paraphernalia and other suspected substances, WAOW reports. Charges hadn't yet been filed Monday morning, pending a lab analysis of the plants.
The girl is currently staying with her grandparents.
