PLEASE DO NOT BE SURPRISED THAT FACEBOOK MAKES SO MUCH MONEY IT IS A VERY SUCCESSFUL WEBSITE THAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU KNOW USES— Alexis Kleinman (@alexiskleinman) July 29, 2015
Facebook on Wednesday reported its earnings for the second quarter of 2015 -- a three-month period that concluded on June 30.
The company made just over $4.04 billion in revenue, which beat estimates and is also a mind-bogglingly large amount of money that sounds like it could probably fill several football stadiums. That said, the company's net income was $719 million, a slight dip from last year. (But hey, we'd all take it, am I right?)
A lot of people are using Facebook on mobile devices now: 1.31 billion, according to the company. This represents a 23 percent increase since the same time last year.
