Move aside, Agyness Deyn/Brooklyn Decker/etc. There's another runway strutter who's making a movie debut.
Australia's Telegraph reports that Abbey Lee Kershaw has signed on for her first on-screen role for "Mad Max 4," the next long-awaited installment of the classic Aussie action flick series.
The real stars will be Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, writes the Telegraph, but a "well-placed film source" says that Abbey Lee has nabbed a smaller role:
"Obviously it's set in a post-apocalyptic world, and women, especially beautiful women, are scarce, so men have been locking them up in cages. Abbey is one of them. She's perfect."
As far as the veracity of the reports, the jury's still out. But as for Abbey Lee being cast as a "beautiful woman"? That sounds about right.
If she indeed gets her silver screen moment, Kershaw will join a whole slew of models who've moved onto movies. Brooklyn Decker, who appeared in "Just Go With It" with Adam Sandler, will return to theaters in "What To Expect When You're Expecting" and Sasha Pivovarova popped up in last year's Justin Timberlake flick, "In Time."
