Abuela As POTUS, A Candidate The Entire Country Can Get Behind

Too late for Abuela 2016?

Before you cast your ballot on Nov. 8, consider for a moment what life would be like if your grandmother was president.

MiTu’s new video “Abuela In The White House” does just that. Comedian Jenny Lorenzo stars in the video, which has been viewed over 5 million times, as her own beloved Cuban abuela.

It turns out that abuela as POTUS would be pretty great, as long as you follow her strict new laws, which include the Tienes Que Comer (You Have To Eat) Reform Act of 2017, and really like wearing sweaters. The good news is that coffee lovers would get a mandatory mid-day break too, unfortunately they won’t be able to get their lattes at Starbucks because “that’s not real coffee.”

But don’t worry, she also has ideas for healthcare, like her Sana Sana Colita de Rana insurance package, and a strategy to decrease national crime rates by having police use “non-lethal chancletas” and belts.

Is it too late for Abuela 2016?
