'After The First 48': Albert Cardenas' Mother Wishes She Could Have Saved Her Son (VIDEO)

Albert Cardenas' Mother Recalls Her Son's Murder On 'After The First 48'

Heartbreak all over again as the mother of a slain teenager relived the tragedy that took her son away from her on "After the First 48" (Thu., 9 p.m. ET on A&E). In 2010, 15-year old Albert Cardenas was shot and killed in his friend's driveway by robbers hitting the house.

It was a senseless loss that his mother still feels as raw today as she did when it first happened.

"I have it all day running in my mind, what my son went through, "she said. "I wish I could’ve been there to protect him. I couldn’t."

It was small solace for her when another teen, 15-year old Erron Nolley was arrested for the murder. He was sentenced to life in prison.

"The First 48" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
