Al Capone Wasn't Brought Down By Eliot Ness, It Was The IRS: Author Jonathan Eig On Jon Stewart (VIDEO)

Jonathan Eig, author of the new book "Get Capone," was on "The Daily Show" last night to talk about the true story of Al Capone, which has gotten lost amidst exaggerations and tall tales in movies, TV, and journalism. Jon Stewart suggested that the book should really be called "Everything You Know About Al Capone Is Absolutely Wrong." Eig points out that, among other misconceptions, Capone didn't commit the Valentine's Day Massacre, and that he wasn't brought down by prohibition agent Eliot Ness, but rather by the IRS for tax evasion.

You can read more about Capone's eventual arrest at Jonathan Eig's HuffPost blog.
