LISTEN: Alejandro And Vicente Fernández Duet Again!

Alejandro Fernández didn’t forget how to share a mic with his legendary father.

“El Potrillo” debuted “Me Olvidé de Vivir" (I Forgot To Live) on Tuesday, a duet the renowned crooner Vicente Fernández. The song marks the first studio recording with his father in more than 20 years and is the second single off his latest album “Confidencias.”

The young Fernández’s latest CD was produced by Phil Ramone and debuted in the No. 1 spot in the U.S. and 19 other countries when it was released in September. Despite the more than two decades of not recording with his father, Alejandro has repeatedly spoken of the impact Vicente has had in his personal and professional growth.

“This song is very special for the two of us because we both identify with it very much, it’s a part of our lives,” Alejandro said in a press release. “When we recorded the song in the ranch’s studio, it was very emotional. We both felt it in our hearts. We were in the studio singing and with just one look we could say it all.”

The album was recorded in Los Angeles and also includes duets with Christina Aguilera and Rod Stewart.
