The eventful week for USC football continued on Thursday when it was announced that senior tailback Anthony Brown quit the team. Not only did Brown quit, he also accused USC coach Steve Sarkisian of being racist in an Instagram post.
Although Brown went on to delete the post, he couldn't stop the image from being spread on Twitter:

"As far as what [Brown] said on Twitter, I think it's ridiculous. Any of you guys that know me and if you ask anybody in our building, any of our players -- feel free to -- that's about the furthest thing from the truth. Quite honestly, I'm shocked," Sarkisian said, via Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles.com, who also tweeted that Brown quit last week.
USC nose tackle Antwaun Woods, however, refuted Brown's claims on Twitter:
The announcement came shortly after cornerback Josh Shaw admitted that he lied about spraining both of his ankles. After retracting his heroic story about jumping from a second-story balcony to save his young nephew from drowning in a pool, the team captain was suspended indefinitely.
