Arianna: Trump 'Failing' To Make A Deal Where It Matters Most

"If he can't make a deal with his own party, how can you expect him to make a deal with Mexico?"

For a man who once wrote a book called "The Art of the Deal," Donald Trump hasn't been that successful in making deals for his presidential campaign.

"He always talks as though every problem can be solved by making a great deal, whether it's the wall with Mexico, the relationship with Putin," Arianna pointed out Monday on MSNBC. "In the area where he's supposed to be a master-- deal making-- he's failing."

Arianna said that if Trump doesn't reach 1,237 delegates--the number needed to secure the Republican presidential nomination--it will be a stunning blow to his claims of business savvy.

"He's failing to make the kind of deals that Cruz is making," she said, referencing the Texas senator and 2016 hopeful's penchant for winning delegates even in states where he's lost the primary. "If he can't make a deal with his own party, how can you expect him to make a deal with Mexico to have them pay for the wall or with Putin?"
