Army Wives Have Trouble on the Homefront (VIDEO)

WATCH: Trouble Brews On The Homefront For Alaska Army Wives

What happens when the spouses of seven soldiers gather together for a wives' lunch at the home of the highest-ranking wife in the brigade?

Tensions are already high in the premiere episode of the new OWN docu-series "Married to the Army: Alaska" when the brigade commander's wife, Yolanda Goins, hosts a wives’ lunch at her home. Yolanda is responsible for the spouses of 3,500 soldiers. "We all have a common story," she says. "Our husbands are deployed. Our husbands are in harm's way. In that, there's a natural bond; there's a sisterhood."

Yolanda starts by asking how everyone is faring on day 100 of the brigade's deployment in Afghanistan, but the lunch quickly becomes uncomfortable. During a lighthearted game, Lindsey Bergeron, married to a major, and Traci Moran, married to a specialist, get off to a rocky start when Lindsey takes offense at Traci’s candor regarding a former job at Hooters.

"She thinks she wears her husband's rank, and she is no better than I am," Traci says of Lindsey.

“You, as a wife -- whether you like it or not -- you are a direct reflection on your husband's career," says Lindsey.

Watch to see how the ladies’ lunch at the colonel’s house turns out, and tune in to OWN on Monday, Nov. 19, at 10 p.m. ET for an all-new episode of "Married to the Army: Alaska" to find out if Lindsey and Traci can get over their differences when the brigade faces its first blackout.
