Atlanta, Georgia, offers visitors a sweet-tea-infused, chili-dog-spiced blend of past and present. The city is a hub for African American and Civil War history with no shortage of museums and landmarks, and it also boasts a buzzy restaurant scene and some impressive urban restructuring that serves its residents from the South and beyond. Whether you travel to see nature, shop or learn about culture, there’s something here for you.

Turns out Georgia’s capital is a visual charmer, too. We took a virtual tour via Instagram to find the most photo-worthy spots in and around Atlanta. Take a look!

The self-proclaimed "world's largest drive-in" has two locations in Atlanta proper, plus two in the airport. Step into the old-school seating area, and snap photos with classic American fare like onion rings, burgers and their famous chili cheese dog.

Georgia Tech
Each of Atlanta's universities (Emory, Georgia State and Morehouse, just to name a few) is beautiful, but Georgia Tech's 400 wooded acres make it especially thrilling to explore. Historic buildings like Tech Tower provide great photo opps.

Junkman's Daughter
Atlanta local Pam Majors opened her shop in 1982 as a place to offload her parents' accumulated stuff, and now her son stocks clothes, gifts and tchotchkes of his own choosing. Browse around, then pose with the graffitied walls outside to commemorate your visit.

The Vortex Bar & Grill
Walk through a giant skull-shaped arch to enter this whimsical eatery in Atlanta's Little Five Points neighborhood. Sky-high burgers and sandwiches are sure to spook your Insta followers.

Georgia Aquarium
The largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere offers oodles of events and educational experiences. Penguins, fish, otters, whales and more will happily pose for photos during your visit.

Centennial Olympic Park

Walk right out the aquarium doors and through this sprawling green space in downtown Atlanta, which commemorates the city's hosting of the 1996 Olympic games. The park's 20-story Ferris wheel is especially photogenic at night.

Atlanta Botanical Garden
This 30-acre wonderland contains one of the country's most impressiveorchid collections. Snap a photo on the canopy walkway or with a giant plant sculpture.

World of Coca-Cola
Atlanta is home to Coca-Cola's company headquarters, so it's only fitting to get a behind-the-scenes look at the bottling process and taste Cokes from around the world during your stay. High-fives with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear make the chillest Instas.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History
Explore hands-on science exhibits, 75 acres of nature trails and an Imax theater at this especially immersive museum. Dinosaur fossil casts will frame your photo perfectly.

This restored movie palace hosts concerts, classic movie screenings, Broadway shows and private events like weddings. See a performance or take a tour, then capture the dazzling lights out front.

Ponce City Market
This historic commerce building re-opened in 2014 as a massive food, retail, living and work space with dozens of trendy stores. The rooftop's got games, mini golf and some stellar views, and the exterior is an iconic shot, too.

Stone Mountain Park

The world's largest piece of exposed granite is the focal point of this massive recreation park about 20 miles from Downtown. Ride the cable cars or hike the nature trails for prime pics.

An outdoor patio and screened-in porches lend outdoorsy vibes to this campfire-themed eatery on the Beltline, Atlanta's new public trail and park system. The views are great, but hot chicken biscuits will dominate your camera roll.
