Orphaned Baby Rhinos' Desperate Cries For Milk Will Break Your Heart

Their mother was killed by poachers.

These baby rhinos saw their mother killed by poachers in South Africa, according to Care for Wild Africa.

Now, the three are in the care of the organization's rhino orphanage... and their cries for milk are heartbreaking.

Check it out in the clip above, which shows them getting fed milk through a fence, then crying out when there's none left.

Earlier this year, the International Union for Conservation of Nature said at least 1,338 rhinos were killed illegally across Africa in 2015, leading experts to warn the animals could be extinct in the wild within a decade.

Care for Wild Africa specializes in caring for orphaned and injured rhinos, but the organization also routinely helps other animals in need including lions and giraffe.
