A man with a highly unusual name and a penchant for getting in trouble with the law has been arrested... again.
Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop, 34, was taken into custody on Sunday after allegedly attacking police officers at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He is accused of biting, punching, throwing rocks, grabbing an officer's handcuff case and hitting him in the head with it, trying to stab a cop with a pen and running off several times despite being shot with a stun gun, the Tri-City Herald reported.
The police officer who was struck by the handcuff case received four staples to close a head wound as well as a tetanus shot, The Olympian reports.
"We are relieved to report that the officer was released from the hospital and is resting at home, expected to make a full recovery," the college told NBC Chicago.
Zopittybop-Bop-Bop, who legally changed his name from Jeffrey Wilschke in 2011, has had several brushes with the law. In January 2012, he was accused of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a probation violation. He was arrested again the following year on drug charges in Iowa.
In 2013, Zopittybop-Bop-Bop told the Wisconsin State Journal he had been treated for schizophrenia, but claimed he didn't have the condition. Instead, he said he suffers from severe depression and post-traumatic stress from abuse he suffered while homeless.
Zopittybop-Bop-Bop also explained his name to the newspaper:
Beezow explained that his first name represents “the explosion of awareness of the interconnectedness of the infinite love in the universe.” Doo-doo “is the struggle of our daily lives with that awareness, that with love comes chaos,” and Zopittybop-bop-bop “is the outcome of that struggle, which is often ironic, especially because all life ends in death.”
Zopittybop-Bop-Bop appears to run a Facebook page that is full of images of himself and contains numerous anti-gay rants.
"The proliferation of gay rights is a sign that we have disavowed masculinity and that we are deeply corrupted by feminism," he wrote in December.
He's now facing charges of malicious harassment and malicious mischief as well as 1st- and 3rd-degree assault in connection with the most recent arrest.
