Before you go on a soul search you must know that soul searching is a process... You must be prepared to leave people behind in order to welcome others... To let go and trust... You must know that letting go isn't a goodbye... Just a break between lifetimes so everyone can heal and return if and when they are meant to...
Before you go on a soul search you must be prepared to have your heart crack open over and over again so more light can enter... You must be ok with the unknown and not scared of the darkness but embrace it instead...
Before you choose the journey , you must be prepared to become fully unconscious before enlightened sanity enters your life...
You must be ok with being raw... With being bare... and if you're not the journey itself will teach you how to remove layer by layer until you discover and become comfortable inhaling and exhaling your naked truth...
You must get used to living with less things so you can become richer on non-things...
Before you take that first step you must be ok with silence... You must be open to the meaning of anyone and anything that comes in your way... including and especially yourself...
Before you go on a soul search you must remember to always look for that tiny dot of light... Focus on it, energize it with love and let it merge with your heart... Then allow yourself to become your own guide. Never fear whatever you get given... You're only given it so become aware of your own strength... How will you otherwise know how far you can go if you never get challenged?
And at last but not least... To me, going on a soul search, is like going on an endless train trip... There's no destination... There isn't a final stop... There is wisdom. There are lessons... There's beauty... love... And there's growth.
See it all and feel it... Make time for it... Look for it and notice it... as it is often hidden in the hearts and eyes of those around you... Your fellow passengers... Your soul search is often the missing piece of the soul search of those who find you...
