The 68th Annual Tony Awards celebrating excellence on Broadway were held this past Sunday. As host Hugh Jackman joked, Broadway is "the only place where you can see Rocky in a boxing ring, Bryan Cranston in the Oval Office, and Wolverine in tap shoes."

The show was packed with memorable moments. Jackman rapped a revamped song from The Music Man with LL Cool J and T.I. And Audra McDonald made Tony history when she won her sixth Tony portraying Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill -- both by becoming the first person to win in all four acting categories and by winning more Tonys than any other performer.

McDonald movingly acknowledged "all the shoulders of the strong and brave and courageous women that I am standing on," she said. "And most of all Billie Holiday... You deserved so much more than you were given when you were on this planet."

Kenny Leon who won Best Director of a Play for A Raisin in The Sun beautifully declared, "I'm looking forward to a day when every child in America can have a little piece of theater in their education."
