Bill Nye Rips CNN For Having 'Climate Change Denier Meteorologist'

"Knock yourselves out, but this is a big problem and it’s not going to go away.”

Bill Nye doesn’t mince words when it comes to climate change.

CNN brought the “Science Guy” on the network to talk about the severe flooding in Louisiana, where at least 13 people have been killed and 60,000 homes damaged.

“For us, on my side of this, this is a result of climate change,” Nye told anchor Chris Cuomo. “It’s only going to get worse.”

But while explaining how warmer oceans could lead to bigger storms, he also fired a shot at the very network he was on.

“Here at CNN you have essentially a climate change denier meteorologist and knock yourselves out,” Nye said. “But this is a big problem and it’s not going to go away.”

“A bigger conversation for another day,” Cuomo answered.

Nye didn’t mention any names, but appeared to be referring to CNN meteorologist Chad Myers, who has a track record of making comments on climate change that run counter to established science.

However, Myers noted on Twitter that he has since come around.

Moved to climate change in 2009,” he wrote in one tweet.

A scientist can be swayed by data and I was,” he added in another.
