NBC Renews 'The Blacklist' For A Second Season

Renewed

Looks like we'll be seeing Red for a while. "The Blacklist" has been renewed for a second season.

NBC announced that it has renewed the mega-hit James Spader series (and the number one new show of the season) for a full 22-episode second season.

“The success of 'The Blacklist' demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television, and I’m impressed on a daily basis by this creative team’s imagination and the extent to which they will go to capture this grand vision on film,” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment.

Ryan Eggold, who spoke with The Huffington Post last month, had let spill that a second season was on the way, so it's nice to finally have confirmation from NBC.

"The Blacklist" just aired its mid-season finale and will return to finish out its first season on Jan. 13.
