Blagojevich Calls Lisa Madigan The C-Word, Says He 'Hates' Her And Speaker Mike Madigan

In the same Esquire Magazine piece where he claimed to be "blacker than Barack Obama," Rod Blagojevich also had some choice words for Attorney General Lisa Madigan, and her father, Speaker Mike Madigan.

Discussing the prospect of giving Barack Obama's Senate seat to Attorney General Madigan, he told Esquire: "If I can get this, how much do I love the people of Illinois to make that **** senator?"

Apparently, in another bafflingly corrupt twist to the Senate-seat scandal, there was a deal in the making to appoint Madigan the younger. In exchange, her father, the Speaker of the State House, would help move a few of Blagojevich's policy priorities forward in that chamber.

The deal, says Blagojevich, was to name Attorney General Lisa Madigan, daughter of the Illinois Speaker of the House, Mike Madigan, to Obama's seat.

"I hate her and him," Blago says. "But if I could get a public-works jobs bill, if I can get the expansion of health care, if I can get foreclosure relief" -- all of which, Blago claims, were being held hostage by the Speaker -- "I'd hold my nose and make her a senator."

In his recent apology, Blagojevich seemed to have forgotten about the remarks about Attorney General Madigan, saying, "I didn't even read the article, so I don't know. What did I say about her?" But when reminded, he denied the remarks, saying, "I don't think I said that."
