Blake Shelton May Or May Not Be Voting For Donald Trump

"He says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don’t always have to be so afraid."

Will he or won’t he?

Blake Shelton shared some political thoughts for his cover story interview with Billboard for the magazine’s 2016 “Nashville” issue ― which features the headline “Make America Blake Again,” a play on Donald Trump’s slogan ― and it sure sounds like “The Voice” coach just might be voting for Trump at the polls in November.

“In country music, we’re so politically correct and so afraid to possibly upset someone,” he said.

“I’m not going to have the political conversation with you about Trump, or about Hillary Clinton, but I will tell you this: Whether you love him or hate him, he says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don’t always have to be so afraid,” he continued. “A lot of people are pulling for him, no matter how much Hollywood fights it. I see people who don’t like him go and beat up people that do like him. You tell me, who’s crazy here? I probably wish there was another option, but there’s not.”

If Shelton does wind up voting for Trump, he joins celebrities including Scott Baio, Antonio Sabatio, Jr., Kirstie Alley and Jon Voight in support of the Republican nominee. Because, yes, it’s too late for him to run for the job himself.

UPDATE: Shelton tweeted Thursday afternoon after his Billboard interview made headlines that he isn't endorsing anyone for president.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims ― 1.6 billion members of an entire religion ― from entering the U.S.
