A Tuesday evening boarding pass security breach at Chicago's Midway International Airport has become the subject of a Chicago police and Transportation Security Administration investigation.

Elvis Jackson, a 33-year-old Chicago man, has been charged with two misdemeanor trespassing charges after he allegedly snuck past security onto a Southwest Airlines plane headed for Birmingham, Ala., NBC Chicago reports.

The flight which Jackson was attempting to board, Flight 908, was due to take off at 9:45 p.m. but did not end up leaving until 11 p.m., the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jackson, a nursing assistant, appeared in bond court Wednesday, ABC Chicago reports. His public defender stated that he should be released because he no record of previous arrest. Jackson remained held as of late Wednesday morning on a $35,000 bond.

City Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie Andolino said Wednesday that security footage tape from throughout the airport is currently being reviewed in and attempt to identify how Jackson managed to get as close as he did to taking to the sky without obtaining a boarding pass, the Tribune reports.
