The 2015 Emmys red carpet was blazing, both figuratively and literally. But plenty of leading ladies kept their cool with bob hairstyles.

Taraji P. Henson, Sarah Hyland, Aubrey Plaza and Jaimie Alexander were among the stars sporting short bobs styled either pin straight, wavy or slicked back. The above-the-shoulder 'dos were a refreshing departure from the long, flowy locks we are used to seeing paired with glamorous gowns. And we're pretty sure these actresses were glad to not have hair sticking to their necks in the Los Angeles heat.
