Bondage buffs from as far away as Europe and Japan beat a path to Los Angeles this past weekend just for the chance to get beaten.
It's all part of DomConLA, an event now in its eighth year, that allows fetish fans, submissives, and dominants to meet, greet and beat -- if the mood (and the mistress) strikes.
Billed as "America's largest Professional and Lifestyle Domination Convention," the kinky convention was created by a professional dominatrix by the name of Mistress Cyan who was pained by the disparity and disassociation between those involved in Professional Domination and those in "The Lifestyle."
Wanting to do something that would help bridge that gap between the two communities and make it more united, she developed the concept of a convention for the kinky.
It was an instant smash.
This year's Con has its share of exhibitionist exhibitors, as well as seminars on topics of interest to kinksters in attendance, such as one that explains how pain travels through the body, another on how the brain is tricked into perceiving pain as pleasure, a trampling workshop, and a lecture on how to dress like a diva on a budget.
But the biggest hit of the Con is usually the Mistress' Tea where all the dominatrixes gather in a room to put a name to the brace and meet each other while being served tea by submissive men and maids.
