Boomers Take On Millennials In 'Ellen Show' Pop Culture Throwdown

May the best generation win!

In the battle of the generations, we think we know which side Ellen DeGeneres is on. Earlier this week, the 58-year-old talk show host decided to give the world a crash course on the differences between baby boomers and millennials.

Boomers make up the generation of people born between 1946 and 1964, in which there was literally a boom of births after WWII. "People were like, 'We survived the war! Let's make whoopie!'" DeGeneres joked. "For you millennials, that's like 'Netflix and chill'." Millennials are the generation born between 1982 and 2004, she explained.

DeGeneres asked two audience members, one from each respective generation, to take a pop culture quiz so that the winning era could be crowned.

Millennials, you'd better brush up on the Beatles and old-school TV. Boomers, consult your kids and grandkids about slang terms and Tinder.

Watch the video above to see for yourself how well each side fares.
