Bow Wow Reacts To 'Catfish' Episode, Says He's 'Honored' To Have Been Impersonated

Bow Wow Reacts To Being Impersonated On 'Catfish'

Last night, a particularly wacky episode of MTV's "Catfish" aired in which a single mother was duped into thinking she's in an online relationship with rapper Bow Wow. Spoiler alert: Bow Wow turned out to be Dee, a lady from Atlanta.

The real Bow Wow then took to his show's website, BET's "106 & Park," to explain why there can only be one of him.

"Look at me," he says to the camera. "You can't impersonate this. These eyes, these ain't contacts. You can't buy these and put these in your eyes to think that you're Bow Wow. These tattoos on my body? These are permanent. You cannot draw these on. There's only one. There can only be one. Not two, one. Just one, and that's me."

The rapper, who seems to have missed the fact that a woman tricked another woman into planning a life together, said: "I feel honored. It's dope and it's fly when someone wants to be you. And not only they wanna be you, in their mind they are you. That's crazy. But I like it. It's free promo. For myself, for BET, for '106 & Park.'" He then continued on to invite both women -- the one that got Catfished and the woman who pretended to be him -- to be guests on his show.

Bow Wow, who famously dated both Ciara and Angela Simmons, then added his two cents about online dating. "Everyone out there Internet cyber-dating, make sure you know who you're talking to. That's the best thing I can say. That's why I don't really do things like that, I don't talk to women over the Internet," he said before cracking up: "I'm lying, I do it all the time!"
