Bullsh*t Or No Bullsh*t: Jon Stewart And Neil deGrasse Tyson Talk Asteroid Mining (VIDEO)

WATCH: Stewart Calls 'Bullsh*t' On Asteroid Mining

This week, a collective of independently wealthy people, including two Google execs and "Titanic" director James Cameron, announced the launch of a company called Planetary Resources.

Its goal? To mine asteroids in space for natural resources like water. If it sounds like the plot of "Armageddon," it's because it kind of is, and on Wednesday night's "Daily Show" Jon Stewart was rightfully excited.

"Do you know how rarely the news in 2012 looks and sounds how you thought news would look and sound in 2012?" Stewart joked. "The only thing missing from this story in my kid fantasy is newsman Scott Pelley's non-futuristic sense of style."

But whether or not the business plan is even feasible remains yet to be seen. Sure, mining in space for things we've depleted our planet of sounds smart, but can it actually happen?

Since Stewart doesn't have the credentials to answer those questions himself, he brought in astrophysicist and popular reaction face-haver Neil deGrasse Tyson for a new segment called "Bullshit or No Bullshit."

While casually solving a Rubik's Cube, Tyson gives his expert analysis on all things asteroid-related.
