There is no denying that Calle 13 appreciates their fans. Rene “Residente” Perez and Eduardo “Visitante” Martinez always go out of their way to include listeners. And now, the guys are calling on their followers to help write songs for their new album.

Residente hit Twitter this week, asking fans to send him audio and video snippets of themselves. He encouraged them to include original music content, which he hopes to include in the recording sessions.

And the creativity exercise doesn’t stop there. Calle is also accepting lyrics via Tweet. So if you can come up with compelling song lines in 140 characters or less, more power to you!

It all sounds very exciting to us and frankly, a lot more fun than trying to get your tracks on American Idol or The Voice. Good luck Calle followers!
