The technological revolution has lead to an over-saturated music industry. While not necessarily a negative thing as more musicians are given a greater opportunity to be heard, it does make sifting through the rigamarole a challenge. Enter CardoCamp, an exciting new organization that serves to help up-and-coming performers build their musical repertoire with Grammy Award Winning producers, engineers and mastering gurus.

The CardoCamp team is holding a contest to win a session with a Grammy Award winning team for a modest submission fee which is much less than the cost of recording a single track in a local studio, or hiring a production team. The winner will receive a three-day, all expenses paid trip to Sonic Ranch Recording Studio in El Paso, Texas, a 2,300 acre pecan farm and the world's largest residential recording studio. This Spanish-style ranch has four world-class recording studios and is fully equipped with vintage consoles and a musical toy store of instruments. CardoCamp winners will have the guidance they need to record a radio ready song using state of the art studio equipment. The winner of the giveaway will receive a three-day/two-night stay at Sonic Ranch, arranged meals, round-trip flight coverage within the continental US, and a professionally filmed promotional video of the entire session.

In addition to an all expenses paid trip, the winner will most importantly receive a one-on-one guided musical experience that includes songwriting, arrangement, and development as well as the tools to record and master an EP. This is the true prize that is beyond monetary value as knowledge is a gift that can change your life forever. What you choose to do with this knowledge is your path, but CardoCamp wants to aid those in choosing the right direction.

A legendary assemblage of award-winning musicians and engineers were carefully curated by the CardoCamp crew to provide the winner with unrivaled knowledge, training, and experience. This elite lineup of musical geniuses includes producer Pat Regan who worked with KISS, John Payne from ASIA and very special guest Alan Parsons who was the engineer of the Beatles' Abbey Road as well as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon. Not only do new artists have the opportunity to learn from the best, but also make lifelong connections by spending three days in such an intimate setting.

CardoCamp is looking for talented and committed artists who not only have a deep passion for music, but also a dedicated ambition to achieve a career in the industry. Talent and passion will win the competition and Sonic Ranch will provide the necessary skills and experience to ascend to the next level. Submissions will be open from June 15th to August 13th and must include two songs, originals and/or covers, as well as a short introductory video.

For those who choose to submit a cover tune, an original track must also be submitted so the judges can get an idea of the artist's songwriting and arrangement capabilities. Videos are not required to be shot in professional quality and can be recorded via phone or laptop. True talent can be assessed by the CardoCamp team regardless of video quality.

While the prize of this competition is extremely desirable, this CardoCamp giveaway is not only about winning. It is about dreaming big and acting upon those dreams, taking a risk on your passions, and allowing your talent to be heard. It is not until we take a step forward that we discover our true path.
