Staging and curtains fell onto Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina during a women’s business reception in Texas on Sunday.
Fiorina had been speaking at a conference for female business owners at the Marriott Rivercenter hotel in San Antonio when the blue curtains behind her began to tilt ominously. Within seconds, the curtains, as well as the metal rods that were holding them up, fell to the ground.
Texas Tribune reporter Patrick Svitek shared the moment on Twitter:
According to ABC News, no one was harmed in the incident, and Fiorina promptly returned to the lectern to take more questions.
“Hey, we just get it done, huh?” the former Hewlett-Packard CEO joked with the crowd.
An audience member is said to have shouted something about Donald Trump to Fiorina after the curtain incident. According to Svitek, Fiorina responded: “Trump, Hillary -- it could’ve been lots of people.”
