Catherine Walker, Wife Of Army Medic, Found Dead In Her Home

Wife Of An Army Medic Found Fatally Stabbed In Home

The U.S. Army and the Honolulu Police Department are investigating the death of Catherine Walker after her husband found her body in their home at Aliamanu Military Reservation on Saturday morning.

Michael Walker, an Army medic, found his 38-year old wife with a knife wound in her neck and torso after he returned from work, according to Hawaii News Now.

After a preliminary autopsy, the Honolulu Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. The Army Criminal Investigation Command is handling the case, but has not yet announced whether anyone has been arrested or if there are any suspects.

Michael Walker told police that he and his wife argued the night before, but that he had not hurt her. His wife's father told Hawaii News Now that he doesn't think his son-in-law could have committed the crime.

The Walkers' neighbors note that the security gate at the military reservation is frequently unguarded.

"It could have been anybody," said Shantell Simmons-Agnew, a soldier who lives on Aliamanu.
