Chace Crawford Isn't Ready For Fatherhood Yet

He may star in "What to Expect When You're Expecting," but Chace Crawford isn't getting ready to take the parenthood plunge just yet.

Crawford hit the red carpet at the New York premiere of the celebrity-packed film -- which also stars Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison and Brooklyn Decker -- and revealed that though he hopes to eventually become a dad, right now he's happy just to be a new uncle. His sister, Candice Crawford, and her husband, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, welcomed son Hawkins in April.

However, the actor admitted to Cambio that he might need some practice before he babysits his new nephew.

"I might start off with a goldfish, or a chameleon. I envision [parenthood] for myself one day when I grow up, when I'm an adult ... Trust me, you don't want me babysitting. Candice doesn't want me babysitting just yet, and [month-old Hawkins] sleeps all the time."

Though he hasn't had too much one-on-one time with little Hawkins, Crawford told E!'s Marc Malkin he's loving "uncle-dom" so far.

"I love being an uncle," Crawford said. "My uncle-dom has just started. They won't let me feed him candy just yet, but I also found out real quick there's rules to having a human being and being responsible. Without sounding cliché, it is life-changing."
