Tax Deductions For Donations: Last-Minute Charity Suggestions For 2011

Last Day To Donate In 2011: Where To Give To Make Sure You Get Your Tax Break

When the clock strikes midnight tonight, it marks the cut-off for receiving tax breaks on 2011 charitable giving.

Make your donation as late as midnight, and you can still deduct it on your 2011 tax return.

If you're scrambling to make a last-minute contribution, you're in good company. Network For Good reports a huge spike in giving from noon to 7 p.m. on December 31.

What's more, the online giving site reports 10 percent of its donations come in on the last two days of the year.

USA Today points out that if you charge your gift as late as today and don't make a payment until 2012, you can still deduct it on your return.
