Yes, Chicago, it was really, really cold this weekend. In fact, that chilly blast was the coldest weather the city has seen in some 10 months.
The chilly weekend weather came with the coldest temperatures Chicago has seen since Jan. 22. That was the last time a temperature as cold as 11 degrees, the lowest point temperatures hit at O'Hare International Airport on Sunday morning, was registered in the city, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Though temperatures Monday are slightly better -- with a high of 33 degrees expected -- light snow is also in the forecast.
CBS Chicago reports something between a dusting and a half an inch of snow may fall in the city beginning around noon.
Meanwhile, slightly heavier snow -- up to an inch of accumulation -- could fall in the north suburbs and more flurries are expected in the Chicago area Tuesday night into Wednesday, with heavier snow falling in northwest Indiana, according to the Chicago Tribune. Lake-effect snow could also impact the city Wednesday, according to AccuWeather.
The bone-chilling weather has been more typical of late January than late November and, according to NBC Chicago, the last time the city saw temperatures this cold in November was in 1991.
Chicago's first accumulating snow of the year already fell on Nov. 11.
