Chicago Symphony Orchestra Plays 'Chelsea Dagger' In A Classy Show Of Support For The Hawks (VIDEO)

WATCH: The CSO Pays One Classy Tribute To The Blackhawks

There have been plenty of loving tributes to the Chicago Blackhawks in their quest for Lord Stanley's Cup, but perhaps none as classy (or classical) as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's.

The Hawks went on to beat Boston 6-5 in another overtime nail-biter Wednesday — perhaps spurred by the good luck from CSO Music Director Riccardo Muti's support: Muti wore a personalized Blackhawks sweater based on the jersey of Blackhawks Captain, Jonathan Toews.

In 1986, "Chicago Bears fever invaded Orchestra Hall," according to orchestra archives, when conductor Sir Georg Solti returned after the encore along with orchestra members sporting Bears sweatshirts. Solti led the orchestra in a rendition of the Bears’ fight song, "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" several times, with the audience singing along.
