Christopher Meloni is returning to TV with a new Fox comedy pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Law & Order: SVU" alum will star in the pilot adaptation of Justin Halpern's book "I Suck At Girls."
The show follows the story of a boy becoming a man and a man becoming a father in a time before you could Google to find the answers. Meloni will play Jack Dunlevy, a father who has to take a more active role with his kids when his wife returns to law school. Connor Buckley will play his son Frankie and Claudia Lee will play his daughter Rachel.
Halpern, Patrick Schumacker will write the script and executive produce with Jeff Ingold and "Cougar Town's" Bill Lawrence.
Though Meloni is known for his dramatic work on "SVU" and "True Blood," he's also done plenty of comedic work in films like "Wet Hot American Summer" and the "Harold & Kumar" franchise.

Jane Kaczmarek is planning a sitcom comeback. Kaczmarek will star in Fox's "Friends & Family," an adaptation of the UK comedy "Gavin & Stacey." The "Malcolm in the Middle" veteran will play Pam, the overbearing mother to Jason Ritter's Gavin who is described as having no verbal filter and volume control. [TVLine]
Adam Goldberg has joined ABC's "Divorce: A Love Story." Goldberg will star opposite Jason Jones and Andrea Anders in the comedy about a recently divorced couple who discover they're worse apart than married. [Deadline.com]
Christina Cole will play Jason Lee's love interest in "Second Sight." Cole will play Gemma, a detective who is the only one who knows Ross Tanner's (Lee) visions. [THR]
