Cindy McCain Talks Gay Issues, Marriage Equality On 'Bender' Podcast With Ben Harvey

Could John McCain Be Changing His Mind On Gay Marriage?

Cindy McCain has been on a roll recently. Not only was she the recipient of The Trevor Project's prestigious Trevor Hero Award this past weekend at Trevor Live, but now she continues her crusade for gay causes as she talks to Ben Harvey on his popular podcast, The Bender.

It's refreshing to hear McCain's own opinions now that she is no longer on her husband John's campaign circuit. On the podcast she gives her thoughts on everything from following Hillary Clinton on Twitter ("I did. As soon as I found out she was on, of course. She's a remarkable woman … I'm a big Hillary fan") to her husband's views on same-sex marriage.

"I think he's coming around," she said of John. "My husband and I have differed on many issues over the years…I think down the line we'll see our country changing…on this issue I know he believes what's right."

Listen to the entire interview for McCain's thoughts on Obama and his delayed support for the gay community, to adoption for gay couples (McCain's segment begins around the 8:00 mark), and get ready to have some newfound love for the McCain family.
