Loyola Student Charged In Sexual Assaults Of 2 Classmates

A freshman at Chicago's Loyola University has been arrested and charged in the sexual assaults of two of his classmates.

Bond was set at $300,000 Tuesday for Colin Kennedy, an 18-year-old from Laguna Beach, Calif., who prosecutors say raped two fellow Loyola students in their dormitory rooms over consecutive nights on the school's Lake Shore campus earlier this month, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Both attacks took place in Fordham Hall on Jan. 13 and 14 when Kennedy allegedly told the women that he needed to stay in their rooms overnight, according to ABC Chicago. Once there, he allegedly forced himself on the women.

Kennedy was arrested and charged with criminal sexual assault on Sunday in the 6100 block of N. Broadway -- and was wearing a t-shirt that read "Release The Wizard Inside Of You" at the time, CBS Chicago reports. The attacks had been first reported on Jan. 26.

Kennedy is "no longer a enrolled as a student" at the school, according to a statement reported by the Loyola Phoenix, the university's student newspaper. Kennedy's attorney has claimed his client has committed no wrongdoing in the alleged incidents.

According to the Phoenix, Kennedy has posted his bail and has already been released from detention.
