Comedian Lisa Lampanelli Loses 106 Pounds: 'I'm Officially A Skinny B**ch!'

Lisa Lampanelli Has Dropped 106 Pounds

Just over one year ago, Lisa Lampanelli underwent weight-loss surgery. Today, she is over 100 pounds slimmer because of it.

The comedian revealed she has lost 106 pounds over the course of the year following her gastric-sleeve surgery, according to InTouch Weekly. “I feel like I’ve reached the weight I’m supposed to be. I’m officially a skinny bitch!” the "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant told the magazine.

A sleeve gastrectomy is a type of gastric bypass surgery, according to the Mayo Clinic. With this procedure, a patient's stomach is changed to be shaped like a tube. This restricts the amount of calories the body absorbs. It is a newer form of weight-loss surgery.

Still, the 51-year-old admits surgery is not a permanent fix and her body is a "work in progress." “I have to figure out my addiction issue and how I even got overweight in the first place," she added. She maintains her weight with regular exercise and portion control.

Lampanelli has struggled with her weight for decades, and her size has been the brunt of many "fat chick" jokes over the years. She has tried all sorts of diets and even went to "food rehab" in an attempt to combat her addiction head-on.

Back in October, Lampanelli told Dr. Oz that she resorted to surgery for weight loss because nothing else was working for her.

"For 32 years –- from 18 to 50 –- I tried everything on the planet, and once I had a clean slate with that I said, 'You know what? Nothing's working for me. I'm going to treat this like the addiction that it is. I'm going to get this surgery and use it as a tool.' That's all it is, a tool to help me get over it," she said.
